Apr 25, · A parametric will not only allow you to target the hiss freq. and the harmonics, but also choose a narrow bandwidth. k is the general area for tape hiss. then maybe check the upper harmonics around 7k. My goal when dealing with tape hiss wasn't always to get rid of the hiss.. sometimes it just couldn't be done without taking away from the mix.
